SPIRIT's PRS had a smooth run on the calm waters of the stunning Swan River with the sun shining on a glorious Autumn day in Perth. Hitting the water at 9:30am were some 264 paddlers looking for the glory of winning the Paddle Challenge - the race opener for the launch of the Avon Descent. The Canoeing WA Paddle Challenge was established in 2001 and has been a strongly sponsored and supported event attracting paddlers of all ages and levels. Many Avon Descent paddlers regard the Canoeing WA Paddle Challenge as a great event to kick off their training. SPIRIT's PRS dominated the Premium Long Course 18km P1 Category taking out 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place.
